WORLD EXPERT IN LUNG DISORDERS TO VISIT UWA TO TRAIN LOCAL SPECIALISTS
Globally recognised respiratory physician, Professor Henri Colt, will visit The University of Western Australia’s Clinical Training & Education Centre later this month to share his expertise on international advances in the treatment and diagnosis of chronic lung disease and respiratory disorders.
Prof Colt will be the International Keynote Speaker at the three-day Medical Thoracoscopy Course to be held at UWA’s CTEC on September 24 – 26.
Respiratory Physicians from around Australia will attend the unique CTEC Course to practice sophisticated and complex respiratory medicine techniques under Professor Colt’s guidance in CTEC’s innovative simulated hospital environment.
Advancements in diagnostic procedures will ultimately lead to earlier detection of life threatening respiratory disorders.
While in Perth Dr Colt will deliver a free one-hour Raine Lecture, ”Educational Aspects of Teaching and Assessing Medical Procedural Skills”. About Professor Henri Colt
Professor Colt is the Director of Clinical Programs at the Pulmonology and Critical Care Unit of the University of California, Irvine. Dr Colt is a recognised authority in pulmonary endoscopic procedures who lectures internationally on topics ranging from bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy and novel optical technologies for the diagnosis of lung cancer, to medical ethics, spirituality, cultural diversity, and humanitarian aid. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of Bronchology and past President of the American Association of Bronchology.
