Dr Christopher Hill is an Emergency Physician with more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare. Originally pursuing a surgical career in the UK, he came to Perth with the intention of staying for a year, and has since made Western Australia his home.
It was during this time that Dr Hill chose a career in emergency medicine, enjoying the specialty’s many challenges, fast pace and variety. He has a particular interest in the use of point of care ultrasound.
He has been involved with innovative endeavours in the past including the Bougie Loader - a medical airway device to improve efficiency of emergency intubation - for which Dr Hill was a WA Innovator of the Year semi-finalist.
Dr Hill has worked in a number of specialities and countries during his training and as a Consultant.
He was awarded the status of CTEC Gold Convenor in 2023. This conferral recognised his outstanding contributions to the improvement of the content and delivery of the JDocs suite of workshops, with particular consideration to his contributions to the ultrasound-guided access skills sessions key to the JDocs: Emergency Procedures workshops.
