
Clinical Associate Professor Hairul Ahmad
Clinical Associate Professor Ahmad is a graduate of Monash Medical School in Victoria, Australia. He is an Australian fellow in:
Emergency Medicine – with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM)
General Surgery – with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
Associate Professor Ahmad has also completed sub speciality training in:
Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Surgery – with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons with further training in England.
Endoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic) – with the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA).
He is intensively involved with surgical education in the Medical School, The University of Western Australia (UWA) as a Clinical Associate Professor. He has designed, convened and instructed in a number of CTEC’s laparoscopic surgery courses for junior doctors and surgeons-in-training; as well as involved in teaching final year medical students. Associate Professor Ahmad is interested in the role of AI and mobile devices in surgical education, as well as non-technical skills in surgical education.
Associate Professor Ahmad has completed his Master In Surgery programme in the topic of Laparoscopic Surgical Courses at The University of Western Australia.
