Dr John Rosser Davies
Dr John Rosser Davies is a rural General Practitioner, and a long standing Co-Convenor and faculty member for a number of CTEC's Cutting Edge workshops. CTEC has recognised Dr Davies' outstanding contributions to its training programs with the conferral of the status of Platinum Convenor.
Dr Davies has been instrumental in many health initiatives in the rural community of Manjimup, Western Australia, where he has worked for more than four decades. In 2017 his contributions to rural WA were honoured with the Rural Health West Award for Above and Beyond - Community First. The Award recognised his contributions to the PROBE initiative to encourage people to support new drivers gaining more experience behind the wheel, the Arch to Arch Fun Run, and the RISK Program to show adolescents the impact of drug and alcohol on driving ability.
In 2024 Dr Davies' significant contribution to medical services in country WA was further recognised when he was awarded the honour of joint GP of the Year in the WA Rural Health Excellence Awards.
