Dr Justin Yeung is a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (2002).  Between 2002 and 2010 he worked at Royal Perth Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Centre for Western Australia) holding director positions for emergency medicine training and hospital junior doctor training.  He was the RPH Director of Emergency Medicine from 2008-2010.

Dr Yeung joined the Western Australia Country Health Service in 2010 as the Director of Medical Service for one of the seven country regions, moving to Albany on the south coast of WA.  In 2013, he was appointed the inaugural Director of Emergency Medicine for the Albany Health Campus.

Since 2016, Dr Yeung has been the Director of the WACHS Emergency Telehealth Service which expanded to become the Command Centre incorporating telehealth streams in emergency, inpatients, mental health, midwifery and after hour palliative care.  Currently he is focusing on the implementation of the WACHS Acute Patient Transfer Coordination Centre for all interhospital transfers to, from and between the more than 90 country health facilities and metropolitan Perth. Dr Yeung continues to keep a hand in clinically with the occasional locum placement in regional WA as well as regularly participating in the transfer coordination roster.  He is an examiner for the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, an Advance Life Support instructor and has recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Health Leadership with The University of Notre Dame.
