Dr Stephen Hicks worked in several technical and industrial fields before graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia. He is an adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer at UWA, where he teaches laparoscopic and general surgery skills.
Dr Hicks is the Director of a medical contracting and advisory service, maintaining a clinical practice in Bariatric Medicine and professional Surgical Assisting across multiple sub-specialties.
Dr Hicks has accumulated experience in Occupational, Aviation, and Underwater Medicine during his time in the Army Reserve and RAAF. He has completed additional training and education in Space Medicine and Expedition Medicine.
Dr Hicks has been facilitating CTEC courses since 2013.
