About Dr John Rosser Davies

Dr John Rosser Davies is a rural General Practitioner, a Co-Convenor of CTEC's The Cutting Edge workshops and a long standing faculty member for a number of CTEC's workshops. Dr Davies has been instrumental in many health initiatives in the rural community of Manjimup, Western Australia.  

In 2017 his contributions to rural WA were honoured with the Rural Health West Award for Above and Beyond - Community First.  The Award recognised his contributions to the PROBE initiative to encourage people to support new drivers gaining more experience behind the wheel, the Arch to Arch Fun Run, and the RISK Program to show adolescents the impact of drug and alcohol on driving ability.  

In 2026 Dr Davies' outstanding half century of service to rural Western Australia was recognised with a Western Australian Rural Health Long Service Award. Over his career Dr Davies is recognised as the only rural doctor in Western Australia to have provided surgical, anaesthetic and obstetric services concurrently to his rural community. 

Dr Davies' commitment to medical education was recognised by CTEC in 2025 with the conferral of the status of Platinum Convenor for his invaluable contribution to CTEC's Cutting Edge workshops.
