It is highly recommended for participants to have laparoscopic and suturing experience, and as such is not suitable for Junior Doctors below the level of Unaccredited Registrar.
This workshop aims to provide participants the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of more complex procedures in colorectal surgery, consolidated by practical benchtop and cadaveric sessions in laparoscopic colorectal surgical techniques and procedures.
This educational activity will provide experience in procedures that participants may have received little exposure to in the clinical setting.

- Principles of stapling and end-to-end anastomosis
Practical Session Utilising Animal Tissue - Bench Top Open Exercises
- Small bowel anastomosis, hand sewn and stapled
- End-to-end colon anastomosis
Practical Session - Cadaveric Laparoscopic Procedural Exercises
