CTEC has developed workshops to assist junior doctors (“JDocs”) develop practical surgical and medical skills. The content of the CTEC workshops has been based on the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons' JDocs Framework which outlines the competencies relating to surgical and medical skills required for junior doctors to successfully enter a SET Training program.
The workshops offered by CTEC for Junior Doctors cover introductory and intermediate surgical skills, wound management skills, airway skills and emergency skills. These training workshops will help prepare the pre-vocational doctor when applying for a RACS SET Training place.
