Workshop participants split into two categories - those who register to practice laparoscopic and robotic dissection and those who register only for the laparoscopic NSM hands-on session. All participants have the opportunity to observe the robotic and laparoscopic NSM demonstrations by Dr Toesca and A/Professor Mok.
Robotic and laparoscopic dissectors rotate between a robotic station (single port) as well as four 3D laparoscopic stations employing conventional minimal access techniques.

Director of the Breast Surgery Program
Candiolo Oncology Institute - Turin IRCCS, Italy
Dr Toesca is an international pioneer of robotic mastectomy with immediate reconstruction in the treatment of breast cancer and in 2022 was appointed Director of the Breast Surgery Program at the prestigious Candiolo Oncology Institute – Turin IRCCS. This follows 15 years at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan as a Consultant Breast Surgeon.
In 2014 Dr Toesca performed the world’s first robotic mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, contributing to the improvement of breast conserving surgery techniques and oncoplastic breast surgery for breast cancer. In 2024 he was the first European surgeon to apply the new, cutting edge single-access robotic surgical technology, increasing the precision and accuracy of the surgical technique.
Today he is an international referent for minimally invasive endoscopic mastectomy, thus contributing to the application of all minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of breast cancer. He was a teacher of the Master in Senology at the University of Milan and is a Lecturer of the International Master of Specialisation in Senology at the International University of Madrid. Over his career he has performed more than 5,000 surgical interventions, using standard techniques and robotic surgery.
Head and Senior Consultant, Breast Surgery, Changi General Hospital Singapore
Director, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships, SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre
Associate Professor Chi Wei Mok is a leading breast surgeon and pioneer in minimally invasive breast surgery (endoscopic and robotic mastectomy) in Singapore and the region. He serves as Course Director of the MIMOSA Masterclass & Hands-On Workshop, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia.
He is actively involved in surgical innovation, education, and regional collaborations to drive the safe and evidence-based adoption of minimally invasive techniques in breast cancer care.
Consultant Breast Surgeon Chris O'Brien Lighthouse
Chief Surgeon Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) BreastScreen, Australia
Consultant Breast Surgeon Associate Professor Sanjay Warrier is passionate about patient care, teaching and research. Associate Professor Warrier undertook extensive post-fellowship training in breast surgery, consolidating surgical techniques in both an oncological and reconstructive setting.
He is an Associate Professor of Sydney University and the Breast Research Lead with the Royal Prince Alfred Institute of Academic Surgery (IAS). Associate Professor Warrier is the co-founder of the Master’s Degree in Breast Surgery, run through the University of Sydney. He has presented his research at multiple national and international conferences including San Antonio Breast Symposium and ASCO. He won the Patron’s Prize at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for the best scientific oral presentation on his work on Hedgehog signalling.
Associate Professor Warrier is the immediate Past President of BreastSurgANZ, co-Chair of Post Fellowship Training, long-standing member of both the BreastSurgANZ Membership and Oncoplastic Committees, and sits on advisory committees with the NSW Ministry of Health, the Cancer Institute and SLHD Biobanking. He also sits on Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation committee, and the Smith & Nephew Global SSC (Surgical Site Complication) Prevention Council Advisory Board.
