Laparoscopic Surgery workshop registrants - CTEC invites you to visit its Research and Skills Practice Room prior to or after your workshop for free of charge practise sessions. This room is a dedicated simulation skills resource designed to enhance your learning experience.

The Research and Skills Practice Room is equipped with simulators for training in basic-intermediate laparoscopic skills. Users will enhance experience and skills in laparoscopic suturing, perception, hand to eye coordination and manipulation. It provides CTEC laparoscopy workshop registrants with skills consolidation or enhancement prior to a workshop and extended professional development following workshop completion, all in a safe, simulated environment.

- Core Skills: Intermediate Laparoscopic Skills Workshop
- Core Skills: Gynaecological Hysterectomy, Laparoscopy and Open Surgery

- Core Skills: Introduction to Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery
- Core Skills: Advanced Laparoscopic Colorectal Skills

A range of simulators, laparoscopic instruments and an array of tasks prepare the trainee for practice in the clinical setting, from basic to intermediate laparoscopic skills.

Practice without risk to patients. This resource enables users to become familiar with a skill before transferring it to the clinical setting

Users are able to monitor improvements in skill development with safe, repeated practice
