Training for General Practitioners
Unlike metropolitan-based General Practitioners, doctors working in remote and rural environments may be required to perform surgical procedures because there is limited access to specialists and medical teams. CTEC's The Cutting Edge workshops cover a comprehensive range of medical and surgical skills to address the wide and varied skills base required by these doctors.
RACGP and ACRRM reaccreditation will be sought for the 2020 - 2022 triennium.
The following list of workshops and educational events are suitable for General Practitioners.
Important Notice: Following COVID-19 restrictions, and in agreement with Department of Health WA, CTEC’s 2020 Workshop Calendar has been substantially restructured. We are now offering as many workshops from our calendar as possible between September and December.
A Government of Western Australia CTEC COVID Safety Plan is now in place adhering to strict government conditions on social distancing and contact tracing. In addition, a CTEC COVID-19 Lab Safety and PPE Strategy for the Hill Surgical Workshop has been introduced, and PPE will be provided and must be worn by workshop participants, faculty, medical students, staff and observers.
External workshops adhering to current government guidelines and the CTEC COVID-19 Lab Safety and PPE Strategy recommenced in the Hill Surgical Workshop from late May 2020. For further information about CTEC's COVID-19 Safety and PPE Plans and Strategies, contact 08 6488 8044 or email@example.com
